Awards & Recognition
Solar Benefits
With electricity prices climbing and bills getting harder to predict, solar isn’t just smart, it’s how you take control. You’ll cut your monthly costs and increase your home’s value, all while locking in long-term savings.
Low Power Bills
Reduce your reliance on the grid and lower your monthly electricity costs, especially with rising electricity rates.
Forever Savings
Protect yourself from unpredictable energy prices by generating your own power for 30 years or more.
Home Value Boost
Homes with solar often sell faster and for 4% more on average. Buyers are drawn to low utility costs and energy efficiency.
Energy Control
Pair solar with battery storage, and generate and store your own power, so you're less dependent on the grid, especially during outages.
Financing & Incentives
Take advantage of available low-interest financing options and incentive programs. Earn credits for any extra power your system sends back to the grid.

Alberta Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP)
The Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) helps eligible Alberta homeowners finance the cost of installing solar panels without a large upfront investment. Repayments are conveniently made through your property tax bill over flexible terms, making solar more accessible while helping improve your home's energy efficiency. Available in participating municipalities.

Ontario Home Renovations Saving Program
The Home Renovation Savings Program helps eligible Ontario homeowners reduce the cost of energy-efficient home upgrades. Depending on your home's heating source and the upgrades completed, you may qualify for rebates on improvements including insulation, heat pumps, rooftop solar panels, battery storage, windows, and doors.

Alberta Micro-Generation Regulation
Alberta's Micro-Generation Regulation allows homeowners with solar panels to export excess electricity to the grid when their system produces more power than their home is using. In return, you receive credits on your electricity bill, helping reduce your annual energy costs and maximize the value of your solar system.

Alberta Solar Club
The Solar Club is an optional electricity pricing program offered by participating Alberta retailers. Homeowners can switch to a high export rate during the summer, when their solar system generates excess electricity, and a low import rate during the winter, when they consume more power from the grid. This seasonal pricing strategy can help maximize the financial return on your solar investment.

Ontario Net Metering
Ontario's Net Metering program allows homeowners with solar panels to send excess electricity back to the grid and earn credits on their electricity bill. These credits can be used to offset future electricity consumption and generally remain available for up to 12 months, helping homeowners maximize the value of their solar investment.

Solar FAQs
Have questions? We’ve got you covered. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Reach out anytime!
How does solar energy work?
Solar panels use photovoltaic cells to convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity. This is then converted into alternating current (AC) using an inverter, making it usable for your home or business.
What about cloudy days or winter?
Solar panels still generate electricity in cloudy weather and winter months, though production is reduced. The goal of a solar system is to offset 100% of your annual energy needs, meaning it will overproduce in the summer months to make up for underproduction in the winter months.
How long do solar panels last?
Solar panels are warrantied to last 30 years but can last up to 40 years in practice.
Will solar panels affect my insurance?
In most cases, solar panels are covered under your existing homeowner's insurance as part of your dwelling. However, because solar can increase your home’s replacement value, you should inform your insurance provider.
Are solar panels recyclable?
Yes. Most panel components like glass and aluminum are recyclable, and recycling programs are expanding.
What kind of maintenance is required?
No maintenance is required. You only need to ensure your solar app is set up so you can monitor production and be alerted if there are any issues.
Can I sell excess energy back to the grid?
Yes, through microgeneration (Alberta) and net metering (Ontario), your utility will credit you for excess power sent back.
When will I start seeing savings?
It may take up to one full billing cycle before you see credits. If you don't see credits, please reach out to your retailer. Keep in mind you may be in a winter month where exported power is not expected.
Do I need to pay anything upfront?
Not necessarily. Zeno offers financing options with no upfront costs are available for qualified customers.
What financing options are available?
We offer multiple options including low-interest loans and partner with trusted financial providers to offer affordable monthly payments tailored to your budget.
